TECECN is a Texas-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting consultants in the early childhood education sector. Founded by a group of passionate educators and child development specialists, the organization strives to provide childcare centers with the support and tools they need, from risk assessments to staff training, through personalized consultation services. TECECN equips administration and staff with the knowledge and tools necessary to create nurturing and stimulating environments for young children. Their mission centers around promoting best practices in early childhood education, fostering healthy development, and ensuring equitable access to quality educational opportunities for all children across Texas. TECECN aims to make a lasting impact on the lives of children during their most formative years.

Mission

Collaborate and engage with a diverse group of stakeholders within the Early Childhood Education ecosystem. 

Spanning a diverse group of local and state agencies alongside community leaders, nonprofits, and various learning and care programs including private, public, faith-based, university, and head-start institutions. 

Offer comprehensive consulting services, conduct program assessments, and deliver customized training programs to advance early childhood education initiatives.

    The Marketing & Media Committee focuses on promoting TECECN’s mission and activities through strategic communication efforts. This committee develops campaigns, manages social media, and creates marketing materials to increase visibility, engage stakeholders, and highlight the value of early childhood education and our members' expertise. Lead by Ceila Garcia-Szyszka & Cheryl Carey.

  • Finance

    The Finance Committee oversees TECECN's financial health by managing budgets, exploring funding opportunities, and securing grants and RFPs. This committee ensures effective financial management, supports fundraising efforts, and aligns resources to sustain and grow TECECN’s mission. Lead by Ronilda Henson & Ceila Garcia-Szyszka.

  • Membership

    The Membership Committee works to build a strong and vibrant community of early childhood education professionals within TECECN. This committee focuses on recruiting new members, retaining current members, and fostering meaningful engagement through tailored benefits, resources, and professional opportunities. By addressing member needs and gathering feedback, the committee ensures that TECECN remains a valuable network for professional growth and collaboration. Lead by Cheryl Carey & Shela Mobarack.

  • Outreach

    The Outreach Committee focuses on expanding TECECN’s visibility and impact by fostering relationships with early childhood organizations, community partners, and stakeholders. This committee organizes and participates in vendor events, networking opportunities, and community outreach initiatives to promote TECECN’s mission, connect with childcare providers, and showcase the expertise of our members. Lead by Shela Mobarack and Ronilda Henson.
